Welcome to Moveit Packers and Movers Terms and Conditions! We are pleased to offer our professional moving services to help make your relocation as smooth and stress-free as possible. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before booking our services.

1. Service Agreement

1.1. By accepting our services, you enter into a binding contract with Moveit Packers and Movers (hereafter referred to as “the Company,” “we,” or “us”). This contract is governed by the terms and conditions outlined in this document.

1.2. Our services include packing, loading, transportation, unloading, and unpacking of your belongings, as agreed upon in the service contract.

1.3. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

2. Booking and Cancellation

2.1. To book our services, you must provide accurate and complete information about your move, including the origin and destination addresses, moving dates, and an inventory of items to be moved.

2.2. A deposit of 25% of the total estimated cost is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of the move before our team begins the work.

2.3. If you need to cancel or reschedule your move, please notify us at least 7 days before the scheduled moving date. Cancellations made within 7 days of the moving date will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.

2.4. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your move due to unforeseen circumstances, such as severe weather conditions or vehicle breakdowns. In such cases, we will work with you to find a suitable alternative date or provide a full refund of your deposit.

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1. Our pricing is based on several factors, including the distance of the move, the volume and weight of your belongings, the number of movers required, and any additional services requested (e.g., packing materials, storage, etc.).

3.2. We will provide you with a detailed quote based on the information you provide during the booking process. The quote is an estimate and may be subject to change if the actual scope of work differs from what was initially described.

3.3. We accept payment by cash, check, or major credit cards. A 3% surcharge will be applied to credit card payments to cover processing fees.

3.4. If additional charges are incurred during the move (e.g., for additional packing materials or labor), these will be added to your final bill and must be paid before the completion of the move.

4. Customer Responsibilities

4.1. It is your responsibility to ensure that all items to be moved are properly packed and labeled before our team arrives. Unless you have requested our packing services, we will not be held liable for any damage to items that were not adequately packed.

4.2. You must inform us in advance of any items that require special handling, such as fragile, valuable, or oversized items. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or the refusal to move such items.

4.3. You must ensure that our moving team has clear access to both the origin and destination premises. This includes securing any necessary parking permits, elevator bookings, or key access.

4.4. You are responsible for any fines or penalties incurred due to illegal parking or access issues at either the origin or destination premises.

5. Liability and Insurance

5.1. Our liability for loss or damage to your belongings is limited to $0.60 per pound per article, unless you have purchased additional valuation coverage. This coverage must be requested and paid for before the move.

5.2. We are not liable for any damage to items that were not properly packed, labeled, or disclosed to us before the move. This includes items packed by the customer or third parties.

5.3. We are not liable for any damage caused by normal wear and tear, natural disasters, acts of war, or terrorism.

5.4. If you have purchased additional valuation coverage, you must report any loss or damage within 7 days of the move and provide documentation of the value of the items in question. Failure to do so may result in the denial of your claim.

6. Storage Services

6.1. If you have requested storage services, your belongings will be stored in our secure, climate-controlled facility for the agreed-upon period.

6.2. Our standard storage rates apply, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Storage fees are due monthly and must be paid in advance.

6.3. You must provide your own lock and key for your storage unit. We do not have access to your stored belongings unless you have provided us with written authorization.

6.4. We are not liable for any loss or damage to items in storage, unless such loss or damage is caused by our negligence or willful misconduct.

7. Confidentiality and Privacy

7.1. We will maintain the confidentiality of your personal information, including your name, address, phone number, and email address, in accordance with our privacy policy.

7.2. We will not share your information with any third parties, except as required by law or as necessary to provide our services (e.g., with our moving crew or storage facility staff).

7.3. By engaging our services, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your personal information for the purposes of providing our services and communicating with you about your move.

8. Dispute Resolution

8.1. If you have any concerns or complaints about our services, please contact us immediately. We will make every effort to resolve the issue to your satisfaction.
